Terms of Service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms apply to the ScoringWorld websites (scoringworld.com and graphicalmiditools.com), the ScoringWorld Tools for Sibelius, and the AI Notator Assistant service. They are an agreement between you and ScoringWorld LLC, Sheridan, Wyoming, USA ("ScoringWorld", "we", "us"). By buying, downloading or using our products you agree to these terms, to the End User License Agreement, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy.
1. Accounts
- Some products need an account identified by your email address. Keep access to that email address secure: anyone who can read it can sign in.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@scoringworld.com if you think someone else is using it.
- Give us a valid email address. We use it for sign-in codes, receipts and service messages.
2. Purchases and payment
- Prices are shown on our site. The checkout shows the final price in your currency, including any tax.
- Some purchases are processed by a reseller who acts as merchant of record and sells to you on our behalf: FastSpring (AI Notator Assistant plans and credits, and some tool purchases) or Stripe. Their own terms of sale also apply to that purchase, and their name may appear on your statement.
- Other purchases are paid through PayPal directly to ScoringWorld.
3. AI Notator Assistant subscriptions
- AI Notator Assistant plans (Standard and Pro) are annual subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each year, at the regular price shown at the time of renewal, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from My Account ("Manage subscription") or by writing to support@scoringworld.com. When you cancel, the plan stays active until the end of the year you paid for, and it does not renew.
- We send a reminder by email before each yearly renewal.
- Introductory discounts (such as the "Founding member" offer) apply to the first year only, unless the offer says otherwise.
- If a renewal payment fails, the plan stays usable for a short grace period while the payment is retried. If the payment still fails, the plan ends.
- To change between Standard and Pro, use My Account or write to us. Upgrading to Pro takes effect right away; moving down to Standard limits your credits to the new monthly allowance.
4. AI Notator Assistant credits
- Each request to AI Notator Assistant uses credits. The number of credits depends on the size of the request and of your score; the app shows how many credits you have left.
- Plans include a monthly allowance of credits that resets every month of your subscription year. Unused monthly credits roll over to the next month, up to one month's allowance.
- Top-up credits are available to subscribers of a paid plan. They are used after your monthly allowance and expire 12 months after your most recent top-up purchase.
- New accounts may receive a one-time free trial grant. One trial is available per person, email address and computer.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and are not refunded when a plan ends, except as described in the Refund Policy.
- Monthly credits end when your plan ends. Top-up and trial credits stay usable until they expire.
- We may change how many credits a request uses, or the AI model behind the service, to keep the service working and affordable. We will not reduce your monthly allowance during a subscription year you have already paid for.
5. Fair use and limits
- An AI Notator Assistant account can be signed in on up to 3 computers at a time. Signing in on another computer signs out the one used least recently.
- Accounts are personal. Do not share your account, resell access, or use scripts or automated tools to send requests.
- To protect the service, we apply limits on the number of requests per minute and per day, and on the size of a request. These limits are well above normal use.
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why when we can.
6. Beta service and accuracy
- AI Notator Assistant is offered as a beta. It is improving continuously, and features may change.
- The assistant uses artificial intelligence, and it can misunderstand a request or propose the wrong change. Review each proposal before you execute it, use Undo in Sibelius when needed, and save your work regularly.
- You remain responsible for your scores and for checking the results.
- We aim to keep the service available at all times, but it may be unavailable for maintenance, because of a provider outage, or when we pause it to protect the service.
7. Acceptable use
- Use AI Notator Assistant only for working on music scores in Sibelius, and in line with the law and with the OpenAI usage policies, which apply to the AI service we use.
- Do not try to bypass the credit system, the limits or the sign-in, or to use the service for anything other than its purpose.
- You keep all rights to your scores. You give us only the permission needed to process your requests, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Refunds
Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
9. Software license
Use of the downloaded software is governed by the End User License Agreement.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The software and services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, ScoringWorld is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of data or work, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country that cannot be limited by contract.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We post the new version on this page with its date. For changes that affect an active AI Notator Assistant subscription, we tell you by email before they take effect; if you do not agree, you can cancel before your next renewal.
